We collect as little as we can. This page lists everything that leaves your Mac when you use LnW Builder and LnW Playback, and what this website does.
What the apps send
- When you activate a key: the license key, a random ID the app creates for your Mac, and your Mac's name (so you can tell your two Macs apart).
- When the app checks your key (now and then, if you're online): the license key and the same random ID.
- When the app checks for updates: a request for the latest version number. Nothing about you is sent.
Our license server runs on Cloudflare, which keeps standard request logs (such as IP addresses) for a short time for security.
What stays on your Mac
Your stems, audio, Ableton projects, setlists and song names never leave your Mac. LnW Builder listens to the click and cue tracks on your computer, offline. The apps contain no analytics or tracking.
Features you turn on yourself
- Phone & iPad remote: works only on your local Wi-Fi, between your own devices.
- Google Drive sync: if you connect your Google account, files go straight between your Mac and your own Google Drive. We never get access to them.
When you buy
Our payment provider handles your payment and card details. We receive your email address and order details so we can send your license key and help you with it later. We use your email only for your license and support — no newsletters unless you ask for them.
This website
This site uses no cookies and no tracking. It only remembers your language choice in your own browser. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts.
Keeping and deleting data
We keep license records for as long as your license exists, so you can move it between Macs. To have your data deleted, send a DM to @lnwplayback on Instagram.
